1/ FREEDOM

Leather Armchair, $1099

We love a trip to Freedom on a dreary weekend and can always manage to find something we talk ourselves into taking home. This month we are swooning over the latest arrival to their armchair collection. This leather chair is so light in aesthetic yet does not compromise on comfort and made from natural dyed leather. The price doesn’t scare us off either, at a shave over $1000. This chair channels a pleasing vintage vibe yet feels contemporary as it floats on a light metal base.

LRNCE is a Marrakech based décor brand, founded in 2013 by Belgian sun chaser Laurence Leenaert. We love Laurence’s hand-painted ceramics and his spontaneous designs and warm earthy colours. And best of all – every LRNCE piece is handmade and completely unique! Worldwide shipping means these beauties can be anyones… and we recommend you pick up a few of their lovely textiles while you’re at it.

3/ Leif Shop

Ltd Edition Print, $60+

We know you must be thinking, how do these ladies have any more wall space for more art?? Our obsession is strong and we have found yet another well priced range of eye catching art from our friends at Leif. Trained as a textile designer, London-based multi-disciplinary artist Laurie Maun explores and responds to the relationship between texture, color and shape. Her work focuses on abstract form, occasionally dabbling in observational, figurative matter.

Onefortythree began as a blog about a house when an ambitious couple based in Henderson, Nevada decided to take on their first large scale renovation. A half-finished log cabin partnered with this duos talents created a gallery of renovation eye candy. Once they moved in, they started making lamps and furniture and now boast one of the best curations of lighting and furniture coming out of the West Coast. Kaz and I have been following these guys for a while and a few weeks ago I finally decided these were the lights we would have in the bedroom of our Brooklyn apartment. With a choice of finishes (we love all the leather trim detail) you can spend hours trawling through the site to find the perfect combination that represents you.

5/ Alexandra Kohl Woven Horsehair, POA

‘My woven textiles are original, one of a kind pieces made from horse's mane’. The explanation from Alexandra Kohl over simplifies the magic she weaves in her studio in New York. Alexandra’s work is informed by minimalism, organic architecture, and the natural qualities of plant and animal. Her work transmits a meditative, healing essence through the stillness of simple design and equine spirit. Ever since the release of the Apparatus horse collection, we have been bemused by this ‘fiber’ and it’s sitting high on our lust lists.
